In addition to over 4000 AI Applications & LLMs (collectively “AI Apps”, or “Apps”) discovered by WitnessAI automatically, you can add public and in-house browser-based Apps to the App Catalog for immediate observability with the Browser Framework.
Use this page to check what WitnessAI recognizes and how applications connect:
- AI Apps by Tier: the AI Apps WitnessAI recognizes and the features each one supports.
- AI Agents: coverage for AI agents, including coding agents such as Cursor, Claude, and Codex.
- Supported LLMs for Routing: the providers and models used when a policy routes traffic through WitnessAI.

WitnessAI App Capabilities by Tier
Tier 1: Network & API Level
Deepest capabilities: prompt & response capture, intent, data redaction, routing, blocking, and warning. Many Apps also support attachment inspection and agentic inspection. Available actions vary by App, as shown in the table below.
Tier 2: App-Specific JavaScript Injection (Control-Lite)
Tier 2 supports prompts, responses, and intent for browser-based Apps. Block, warn, and attachment support varies by app, as shown in the table below. Redact and route aren't available in Tier 2.
Tier 3: Browser Framework (Non-Specific JS Injection)
Tier 3 supports prompt observability, guardrails, alerts, and blocking. Customers can add any browser-based AI App to the App Catalog, and user prompts and intentions will automatically be collected.

Each column heading is a WitnessAI feature, and each App/LLM in the first column is supported for the features marked by a blue checkbox. Empty checkboxes indicate features that aren't currently supported for that App.

Browser Framework
Note: The Browser Framework (previously the Generic App Framework) is enabled by default. No opt-in is required.
The Browser Framework (Tier 3) supports most web browser-based AI clients automatically, once they are added to the App Catalog by WitnessAI or by customers. WitnessAI tests hundreds of AI Apps every month to verify and improve Browser Framework coverage.
If you have an AI App that you’d like to request a higher Tier 1 or Tier 2 capabilities for, contact Customer Success or your Account Team.
AI Agents
For AI Agents, WitnessAI inspects the agent's activity in addition to its prompts and responses. Observe Actions captures the agent's tool calls, tool results, and system prompts. Control Actions can enforce which agent tools and MCP servers are permitted. Control Actions is enabled per tenant, so it may not take effect until it's turned on for your tenant. Until then, tool calls are still observed and reported. Contact Customer Success or your Account Team to confirm availability.

About LLMs and Models
WitnessAI governance applies at the application and integration level, so coverage applies regardless of which underlying model an App uses. Specific model versions aren't listed individually.
For the providers and models used when a policy routes traffic through WitnessAI, see Supported LLMs for Routing below.
Supported LLMs for Routing
WitnessAI can route traffic to the AI providers and models your administrators connect on the Models page, under Administration → Configuration. When a policy routes traffic to a connected model, WitnessAI forwards the request to that provider, applies any active guardrails, and returns the response.
The list of providers and models is different for each tenant, so this page doesn't include a fixed list. The AI Apps by Tier and AI Agents tables above cover the AI Apps WitnessAI recognizes, such as ChatGPT and Cursor. To connect a provider, see Models.
